Data correlation
Nordson DAGE recognizes that data correlation is the foundation for cross referencing test results between old and new platforms. Existing users of Nordson DAGE welding strength testers (4000 Optima and 4000) can confidently compare data between old and new machines. In addition, we know that many users collect data on the same product from different machines, whether at the same point or in different locations, and need to ensure the integrity of the data's interconnection under the same configuration and testing parameters.
In order to demonstrate the interrelationship between old and new machines, Nordson DAGE has conducted a detailed internal GR&R study. 4000Plus plays an important role in data association, but our welding strength testing software ParagonTM is equally important. Importing and exporting protocols and database management tools can also ensure comparability of data streams between new and old machines.
Integrity of data
The 4000Plus has excellent repeatability and reproducibility of results, with an overall system accuracy of+/-0.1% of the selected range (please refer to detailed specifications).
Accurate reset precision
The control (reset) of the cutting height is crucial for achieving consistent test results in cutting applications. Nordson DAGE has developed a patent for a unique anti backlash system that can be used to assist in setting and controlling resets. The cutting height can be set and maintained with a precision of one micrometer throughout the entire testing range. In addition, on the S25G test module, the highest reset accuracy is+/-0.25 micrometers. The reset accuracy has been verified through laser measurement.
Traceability of data
The 4000Plus is calibrated according to international standards, providing detailed traceability and data integrity for product testing. Calibrate using the traceable national standard O.I.M.L grade M1 tolerance standard; UKAS or optional NIST Level 1 weighting.
Automatic loading tool alignment
The optional self aligning shear tool sleeve ensures the correct load is applied by compensating for misaligned mold connections.
The 4000Plus testing platform provides a wide range of optical solutions for welding strength testing and material testing, including imaging systems for failure mode analysis, alignment, and real-time recording testing.
Image acquisition camera
The image acquisition system can provide high-resolution images for fault mode analysis and benchmark calibration. It is built into the system, adjacent to tools, and can maximize throughput, especially suitable for automated testing.
The camera is equipped with a built-in light source, which can provide the best lighting effect, and the precise sliding device of the 4000Plus testing platform can achieve accurate focusing.
Multiple objective lenses ensure optimal resolution, and the depth of field can be magnified up to 1500x.
Aperture imaging system
Aperture meters can provide high magnification images, making them ideal for precise calibration of tools. It adopts medical endoscopic technology, which is very suitable for ultra narrow spacing devices such as thin wire welding or ultra small size products such as micro bumps and copper pillar bumps.
Triple-lens camera
The three camera can be connected to any stereo zoom microscope with a C-shaped mounting bracket.
With the help of a suitable microscope, the field of view can be adjusted from wide to near, which is very suitable for macro positioning. When used in conjunction with a side calibration camera, two views (front and side) help achieve precise tool calibration, especially for small, fine, or difficult to measure samples.
Side calibration camera
Side calibrated cameras are highly suitable for testing micro features such as copper pillar bumps, micro bumps, and TSVs. The system supports auxiliary viewpoints for the features to be tested, providing accurate and reproducible testing.
The side calibration camera is connected to the testing module bracket, which can provide ultra stable, vibration free, and continuously focused images of the tool tip.

Image capture cameras can be used as automated reference alignment cameras.
